Blood Drives

One service project that our congregation organizes and supports is a blood drive on our church grounds around six times each year. We partner with the American Red Cross and have proudly donated almost 2000 pints of blood over the past 13 years.

Rise Against Hunger

Each January our congregation comes together with the Rise Against Hunger organization to package meals for those in need across the globe.

This is a wonderful opportunity for our longest standing members to work alongside some of our younger youth as we work towards a common goal.

In years past, we’ve packaged as many as 10,000 meals at one event, so this is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to get involved in the act of service.

It serves us as much as it allows us to serve the hungry.

Souper Bowl of Caring

Each year on the Sunday following the actual Super Bowl, our youth hosts a soup luncheon following the church service where donations are welcomed. These donations are used to support an organization that our youth feel led to support.

Palm Sunday Easter Egg Hunt & Brunch

This event is a joyful way for our members, young and old, to come together, to enjoy brunch and watch the little ones hunt for eggs, while we celebrate (a little early) that He Is Risen.

Camp Kirkwood VBS

What better way to kick off summer than Vacation Bible School, especially if you get to enjoy VBS in a place where you can be unplugged and surrounded by God's creation

of 195 acres of natural beauty near Watha, NC? Our youth and many adult volunteers from BPC enjoy this event soon after school releases for summer.

This is a day camp opportunity and transportation is provided. Applications are available in early spring.

Rally Day

This event encourages us to rally together as a whole congregation and renew our focus on the upcoming year of the church. This event in early September is a kickoff for Sunday school classes and youth groups, and it marks the beginning of the church calendar. We celebrate with a brunch, fellowship, blessing of the backpacks, and commissioning teachers to our Sunday School program.

Trunk or Treat

Each fall, BPC joins with Beulaville Baptist and other community organizations to host a Trunk-or Treat event on Bostic street right behind our church.

Our youth groups select a theme and organize a trunk for this event, and several church members also join the fun by sponsoring a themed trunk.

This is a massive community event where we hope to provide a safe place for our community children to trick-or-treat and feel God’s love and see churches in action.

Charlie Albertson’s Christmas Concert

BPC is blessed to have the “Singing Senator,” Mr. Charlie Albertson as a longstanding member of our church. Each December, Mr. Charlie hosts a Christmas concert where he shares secular and non-secular songs of the season in our sanctuary. This event brings our church family and our Duplin County community together for celebration through song and a small reception to follow.

Cents-ability Offering

This is a program where members of the church contribute a small amount of money, typically two cents or more, at each meal to support hunger relief efforts This initiative is a way for individuals and families to participate in a collective response to hunger and poverty, both locally and globally by donating to the Presbyterian Hunger Program. The offering is collected during the children’s sermon on the second Sunday of each month
